LAS COLINAS, TEXAS, Nov.3, 2021OntadaTM, a McKesson business focused on real-world data and evidence, clinical education and provider technology, announced today that Sagran Moodley will be joining as Chief Innovation and Technology Officer. The new position will elevate Ontada’s focus on healthcare information while accelerating the innovation and quality of core technologies.

Moodley will oversee Ontada’s data infrastructure, integrity, insights and security, as well as the development of the technologies and systems that power Ontada’s diverse software suites, including the iKnowMedSM electronic health record, trusted by the nation’s largest community oncology network.

Moodley brings to Ontada more than 25 years of experience leading transformative healthcare IT and business initiatives. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Clinical Data Services and Technology for UnitedHealthcare Clinical Services, where he was responsible for the clinical technology strategies for over 55 million members across UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial lines of business. As co-founder and former chair of the Da Vinci Project, a private-public sector initiative focusing on clinical data exchange standards (interoperability) between payers and providers supporting value-based care delivery, Moodley brings to Ontada his passion for advancing industry-wide interoperability data exchange standards. He also serves on the Health Level Seven (HL7) Advisory Council and is a member of the Executive Steering Committee of the Gravity Project, focusing on standardizing the approach to collecting social determinants of health (SDOH) information from provider organizations.
