IRVING, TEXASOntada®, a McKesson business focused on oncology provider technology solutions, targeted channels for biopharmaceutical and provider engagement, and a research arm focused on clinical data and evidence solutions, announced the promotion of Nicholas Robert, M.D., to the role of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and member of the Ontada leadership team.

In this newly created role, Dr. Robert will be responsible for deepening Ontada’s clinical focus and expertise. As the senior clinical leader at Ontada, Dr. Robert will collaborate across the organization to ensure studies, real-world data offerings and educational programs maintain the highest scientific standards and clinical relevance. He will also collaborate with physicians and physician-led groups, including The US Oncology Network (The Network), to support a broad range of clinical initiatives for cancer physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other care team members.

“Dr. Robert has a long history in cancer research as the author of more than 100 publications and a leader in community oncology and The Network.,” said Susan Shiff, President of Ontada. “I am thrilled with the experience and compassion Dr. Robert will bring to his new role as Ontada Chief Medical Officer.”

In his most recent role, Dr. Robert served as Vice President, Medical Affairs Ontada, where he oversaw the development and completion of real-world evidence studies, including the MYLUNG Consortium™ Protocol 1. Much of his career has been spent as a practicing physician, including as Medical Director, Virginia Cancer Specialists research program and Clinical Director, Medical Oncology, Tufts Medical Center. Dr. Robert received his medical degree from McGill Medical School and completed residencies at Royal Victoria Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital and a fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He was fellow at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Robert also serves as a reviewer for medical journals, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology-Clinical Cancer Informatics. He is a member of several industry organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Anatomic Pathology, Medical Oncology, and Hematology.
